  • Content and purpose
    This course contains descriptive statistics as well as analytical tools, including hypothesis test, regressional analysis and variance analysis.
    Apart from the above, the course contains generel data analysis.

    Subject is test with the following subjects

    Group oral exam based on a group project and the semester’s curriculum in the 3 courses: Macro-Economics, International Capital Markets and Statistics.
    The exam project is to be carried out in exam/study groups (3-5 students per group).
    Students themselves shall ensure that the names of group members are uploaded on Moodle within a set deadline.

    Requirements for the project's content and form are described in the document "Exam project" uploaded in SharePoint via Moodle.

    The written project must be based on answering the questions formulated in the "Exam project" document, and the written project must contain the following structural elements:
    1) Title page with names of group members and class number
    2) A table of contents
    3) References to sources used.
    4) Additional data and calculations introduced and discussed in the text can be submitted as attachments in one (1) well-structured Excel file (each question in its own sheet)

    The oral exam:
    a) The students start by making a short group presentation (NOT a repetition, but a reflection on their written project) of approx. 2 minutes per student.
    B) The examiners will ask questions regarding the written project and/or the presentation.
    c) The examiners will ask questions regarding the entire curriculum for the 3 subjects.
    Formal requirements
    The exam shall be completed and conducted in English. The exam consists of the written project submission and the oral examination.

    Criteria for test assessment
    The examination is to be completed as a group; however, individual grades can be given.
    The evaluation process will include
    (a) the written project
    (b) questions relating to the written project
    (c) questions relating to the curriculum

    Grading will be done according to the 7-scale system. There will be no partial grades.

    Re-examination and re-examination due to illness
    The same rules apply as for the ordinary exam.
    If a student receives a grade of less than 02 he or she shall attend a re-examination. Students will not be required to produce a new written exam project, but submit the old one. It is allowed to make changes to the project but any such changes must be clearly highlighted. The dates for the re-examination are available in the exam plan system.
    If a student is no longer part on an exam group containing 3 or more praticipants for the re-examination, the following examination times will be used:
    2 students - 30 min. examination
    1 student - 20 min examination

    In the case of absent students, the exam will be brought forward by up to 60 minutes. Students must therefore arrive for the exam no later than 60 minutes before the exam time. The first two students should both arrive at the start of the exam.

    The students will receive a notification on their student email when the exam has been created in WISEflow.
